Asus Eee Pc 900 Drivers Winxp
My friend has an ASUS eee PC 900HD netbook. He recently had a system failure so we reinstalled XP Pro on this machine. Went to the ASUS website and downloaded the current drivers. This fixed several missing devices such as the LAN and Video, but the current Realtek drivers for audio do nothing towards getting his audio working. This is a clean install of XP plus SP 1, 2 and 3.
The only thing I have not seen the computer do yet is do the updates past SP 3. Any suggestions? I have tried several things suggested elsewhere, but am going to start with a clean slate here and see what you guys can come up with. Check to make sure that the Realtek is selected in Control Panel Sounds and Audio Devices Audio Sound playback Default Device. If it is setup correctly, you may want to try fix 371.
Restore Sound - Windows Audio Service on this site:. It's a reg file (kellys-korner-xp.com is a very reputable site, so don't worry but it's always a good practice to backup the registry key b4 you modify it!) This reg. Mod./fix has restored sounds for me in quite a few computers.

Hope it will work for you. Don't forget to restart after 'installing' the reg file. Check to make sure that the Realtek is selected in Control Panel Sounds and Audio Devices Audio Sound playback Default Device. Did this.and everything on that AUDIO tab is greyed out. If it is setup correctly, you may want to try fix 371.
