WHEN I PUT IN A NEW BLANK CD, AT FIRST IT WOULD WORK NOW AND THEN, BUT NOW DOES NOT RECOGNIZE A CD AT ALL, JUST SAYS 'PLEASE INSERT A RECORDABLE DISC'.
I FOUND A WEB SITE IN A LETTER SOMEONE WROTE FOR SUPPORT, BUT THIS SITE IS NOT AVAILABLE. PLEASE HELP ME. DELL TOLD ME I NEED A NEW CD DRIVE, BUT I THINK IT IS THE DRIVER CAUSING THE PROBLEM. I'm having the same problem as well as these annoying error messages every time I close the program even if I didn't do anything! On top of that, Dell did not see fit to include the CD so I could reinstall the program (I'm telling ya - I have always bought Dell but NEVER again - their quality and customer service has gone down the tubes) Someone on another board said the problems seemed to start after Windows Media Player upgraded to version 11.

So much for Dell! My Roxio version is 5.2.0 and Dell keeps telling me I have all the necessary driver updates when I click the update link. Roxio 9, Roxio Creator 9 and Roxio Creator 10 are different animals. Roxio 9 is 3 years old +. It likely will not handle 64bit or Windows 7.

Here's a few things you can try: 1.) Download Service Pack 3 for Creator 2009. This updates the software and is recommended. 2.) Update your CD/DVD burner drives. This can be done by going to the manufacturers website and checking for updates. (Ex: If you purchased your computer from Dell and it came with a built in burner, you'd check Dell.com for updates.) 3.) Update the PX Engine.
