Remember Starcheat is unsupported, the best we can tell you for crashes on startup, especially on reading the player list, is because Starcheat conflicts with Player files sometimes and/or your mods:. The best way to work around it is to use elimination methods to see the trigger, renaming the /mods and /storage/players folder, creating a fresh character and try to load Starcheat fixes the majority of the cases. Once you find the bad player file/mod you can work in trying to move your things between both players to edit the new one without a crash.
