If the hub is reprogrammable (which is often the case for USB3.0 hubs), this allows persistent infection of the main board even if the BIOS/UEFI is protected against unauthorized/unsigned upgrades. This -- and the fact that hubs are not terribly mobile usb devices in general -- make this whole category relatively unexciting for BadUSB.
One interesting point about hubs, however, is that many main boards (and Notebooks) contain a USB hub.

I bought a speedlink gamepad some years ago and i've never actually used it. So i thought i'd use it now for pc gaming. However, i have installed the driver from the website(latest) and the ones that were in the CD that came with the gamepad. My pc recognizes the gamepad as 'Unknown Device' and no matter how many times i install, uninstall and reinstall the drivers it just stays there as 'Unknown Device' with some drivers installed, even when i have just uninstalled them! When i got my pc, like 3 months ago i did play a game with the gamepad but now this happens. I got the Speedlink Strike2 SL-6535 gamepad, this one right here I even tried to install the drivers with a different compatability(Win 2000/Me, XP Service pack 3) but no luck.
