Indie rock The Stars Are Projectors. I choose to open the review with those words because that song is too fucking epic for words.

Modest Mouse The Moon And Antarctica Blogspot

Modest Mouse's The Moon and Antarctica, is generally considered as their best album, and I agree. Musically it's everything MM is known for, and a bit more. Melancholic, introspective, shaky. The instrumentation is pretty well thought out, especially on the epic songs like The stars are projectors. The vocals are powerful and the lyrics are really nice too.

It's one of those things that you really must listen to, to fully grasp it. But If you want, check out some tracks like: 'The Stars are Projectors' '3rd Planet' 'Gravity Rides Everything' I'd really suggest listening to this record before any other release by Modest Mouse, but I'm pretty sure there's no way to escape from 'Float On' now. Seriously, this album is too fucking amazing. You should definitely listen to it, at least once.

We were here, then we weren't and now we are again. So basically, for those of you just joining us.

This is where I'll post releases, news and videos that I think are pretty nice. Some are old, some are brand new, but all are worth checking out. You're welcome to enjoy them, or say I got horrible music tastes, either one is fine. A cat is fine too. If you need me, drop me an email at: elbigote123@gmail.com Also, the obligatory disclaimer (statement made to save one's own ass) I don't own any these artists, these files are for promotional use only.

You should support them by seeing them live, and purchasing their merch/albums.

'What People Are Made Of' 2:14 Themes Most of this album seems to be a collaboration of Isaac Brock's views and philosophies on everything from how to handle life, to life after death, to misconceptions and falsehoods of religion. This album highlights Brock's misanthropic and depressive views, as well as atheistic beliefs. Production For the first time, Modest Mouse lands a record deal with a major label- Epic Records. This decision recieved lashback from many fans in the fear that they'd start sounding mainstream or too polished, but Brock took note of this and prevented such an event. The album was produced by Brian Deck as a first ever project recorded at Clava Studios in Chicago. Although Deck was the producer, he worked strictly alongside Brock's decisions and didn't do anything the band wasn't comfortable with.

The recording studio they operated in was not completely finished at the beginning of recording, but the band and crew seemed to have gotten around it. Brock also suffered an attack on the street during the recording period of this album that broke his jaw, forcing a week of hospitalization and his jaw to be wired shut for nearly three months. In the end, the album took a total of 5 months to record.
