4) Press your remote control RED power ON button and hold it till step 6. 5) Plug in power cable into your HyppTV Box and press the power button behind the box. 6) When you see white HyppTV welcome screem, you can release remote control RED power ON button. 7) You will see a black screen with a Android robot. 8) Use remote control UP/DOWN to navigate to 'Apply update from external storage' and press OK button.
9) Choose HyppTV-APK-Installer.zip and press OK. 10) Wait for system to reboot and when start just run HyppAPK.

This HyppTV Apk Installer works great. It won't mess up your Huawei EC6106V5 STB. Before I install this apk, I restore back to factory default stock firmware, to avoid any future complication due to modification in the past. Easier to install apk search using PC, copy into USB drive and install from there.
Perhaps, anyone can share which online TV or video on demand app suitable for this STB. I installed CloudTV. Premium channels with good streaming speed only lasted a day. The free channels streaming speed really depends on your luck, time and channel you are watching. HD Cinema v1.1.1 cannot play any video although I can see the movie listing with thumbnail images.
YouTube for TV can play video shown on home screen. Some video are not smooth, possibly due to 1080p quality (high bitrate). However, I cannot change setting to default to lower resolution (setting menu not functioning). Search function seems not working with remote control due to keyboard will not pop up.

Connected to wifi, signed in to playstore, but then playstore doesn't work.
(Error retrieving from server) tried to move the ethernet cable away from port 4, wifi cannot connect. But internet is ok (it uses the cable only now). Open playstore, voila! Then install everything I need normally.
